A prolific Adelaide street artist Joel Van More (Vans the Omega) has painted across the globe. He is very much a graffiti artist and heads up other street art events.
He has been involved in the Wonder Walls festivals in the Port Adelaide area. Joel does arts in lots of different formats and this is an example of him working as a muralist. He has taken a challenging wall going from a brick wall to a shed; it is very difficult to work on such a textured surface. Joel has chosen to put the detail on the flat surface and then filled up on the textured surface with sea life.
A feature is that Joel has chosen to leave his reference markings in the background behind the completed mural which adds to the mural. This is good to observe and understand that the reference makings are essential as the basis of creating the mural and ensuring that the perspective and placement of the finished piece are correct.
