If you love rolling hills, running water and eucalypts then a drive through the Koppio Hills is a must do when visiting Lower Eyre Peninsula. It’s also home to the Koppio Smithy Museum, historic cemetery, old school site and a little further south the Tod Reservoir. Whilst taking in these stunning views you will be greeted with constant bird songs and sightings, with the historic school site and reservoir well worth a walk around with the camera or binoculars. The roadsides will also be alive with birdlife and frequent short walks are worth the effort for the keen photographer.
