James Pedler

Tumby Bay, South Australia 5605

This is our third and most recent James Pedlar, using the theme of employing a local artist. This piece really demonstrated the professional development and improvement of James as a mural artist. After the first street art festival and the encouragement from the world famous artists, James applied for and received a scholarship. He had Andrew Bourke return to the EP to up skill James as a result of the scholarship. This piece shows how the festival has allowed James to improve. This is a red breasted robin, an endemic bird to this area. James’ family come from a farming property in the hills behind Tumby and this species is found in the Koppio Hills. He has worked on the eyes to bring this piece to life, and has detail in the feathers. Through his positive experiences, James has been given the courage to do such a work.
