We have “value added” to the Blacksmith & Engineering Museum recently by adding on a large repurposed shed behind the original Blacksmith workshop which is now full of a wide range of engines and historical machinery. Most of these can be operated on most days when our engine experts are present.
Step back in time as you tour through this fully functioning blacksmith and engineering workshop: still in its original state from the 1935 to 1976 era.
It features an impressive collection of working engines, machinery and tools with a coal-fired forge in operation on open days and a range of old, rare engineering machinery still in working order.
Open 2 pm - 4 pm on the fourth Sunday of the month and also second Sunday from September to April.
Handmade souvenirs and information booklets are available for purchase.
