The Tumby Bay Community Wastewater Lagoon is situated adjacent fairway one of the Tumby Bay Golf Course and provides a constant body of water for birdlife. Whilst there is no access to the lagoon itself, a walk around the perimeter of the lagoon site and the edge of fairway one will provide some great birding opportunities. As with Mortlock Park the Tumby Bay Golf Course and rifle range are in proximity and priority must always be given to sporting activities, however if courtesy is observed and entry kept to outside of sporting activities it is well worth a visit. As a rule, early mornings and late afternoons during weekdays will see limited sporting activity within the reserve as well as being a prime time for birding. There are three aspects to this location, waterbirds on the lagoon, smaller seed and insect eaters enjoying the open grassed areas and several other species in the adjacent tea tree and boobiala brushland.
