This is our second Jack Fran piece. Like many other artists, Jack Fran had never heard of Tumby Bay, but once here he couldn’t wait to come back again - due to the small town friendliness and being made feel welcome. A lot of close friendships have been forged between artists and local community members. Jack had complete freedom to do whatever he wanted to do on this piece. He knew Tumby Bay and had been fishing when he was here. Jack and his son have been fishing in Adelaide so he painted his son with a fishing rod getting ready to go fishing. The graded shading in the background from the bottom to the top is very special, and also how the sunlight plays on it at different times of the day.
